Canada’s Longest-Running Gingerbread Lane Breaks Records at Hyatt Regency Vancouver

34 Gingerbread Houses Registered in Support of Make-A-Wish Canada

Vancouver (November 22, 2024) – Hyatt Regency Vancouver is thrilled to announce the return of its beloved holiday tradition, the 32nd Annual Gingerbread Lane, a festive event dedicated to spreading joy and granting wishes for children facing critical illnesses through support of Make-A-Wish Canada.

The 2024 Gingerbread Lane opens to the public from November 28 to December 27, promising to be more meaningful and exciting than ever. This year features 34 gingerbread house entries—the largest number in our history—thanks to the support of partners including Whitecaps FC, Starbucks, Vancouver Civic Theatres, Pharmacopia, K-Bro, Encore, Art Vancouver, Vancouver Sun Run, Harris & Company, Choice Flowers, Access Rent-A-Car, OURO and Downtown Vancouver.

As Canada’s longest-running Gingerbread Lane, the event draws over 20,000 visitors annually, inviting the community to experience extraordinary gingerbread creations. Local professionals, amateurs, and secondary school students transform gingerbread into awe-inspiring masterpieces, showcasing exceptional talent and creativity.

This year’s Gingerbread Lane not only highlights stunning gingerbread house displays but also features engaging activities and surprises designed to delight visitors of all ages. The involvement of our valued partners adds even greater depth to the experience, ensuring a truly memorable celebration of the holiday season.

General Manager Patrick Gosselin states "We are honoured to host the 32nd Gingerbread Lane and collaborate with incredible partners to support Make-A-Wish. Together with the Vancouver community, we believe in the power of hope and making dreams come true for children in need."
